British TV Lover Seeks Long-Lost Show

What is this show I'm thinking of???

I believe it was on BBC America around 2001-2003. It's a reality competition-type show, and it basically consisted of random people having a month to learn a skill, then having to compete against others who have been doing that skill much longer. For example, one episode was this guy learning to be a club/house DJ and he was judged against other professional DJ's. The skill varied each episode, and I think there were two different people being followed (learning two different things) each episode.

On a related note, if anyone has any suggestions on how I could find a show lineup for BBC America around that time period, I would love you forever. (I googled, but alas, nothing.)

It was a Channel 4 show originally btw, so it's probably on Youtube now on their channel.

There was also a very short lived American version of Faking It. I really liked some of them, especially the British episodes.

Best answer: If you're in the UK you can watch the whole series on 4OD. The episode where a classical cellist learns how to be a club DJ may be the one you're thinking of.

Best answer: The "Faking it" episode with the cellist that hot soup girl links to is one of the best, IMHO.

From the internet archive - here is what BBC America was scheduling around 2003
