Stand alone tablet/laptop mounts that are balanced/floating arm?

Does anyone make a tablet or laptop mount that allow fingertip adjustment (like the Luxo lamp) that aren't table mount only?

Wife is pregnant and looking for something to be able to use a tablet or laptop while on a recliner in sit up or laying position. It should be fully articulating.

Ideally standalone with a heavy base (for something lighter like a tablet) or mountable to a chair.

Something like this LCD arm/laptop arm

EVO monitor arm
EVO laptop arm

I bought my husband an Air Desk for his laptop last year and he *loves* it. His best friend has one, too. They work great for laptops next to couches or recliners.

If your budget is limited, you may be able to adapt this from Global Industrial -- it's a flat platform on an articulating arm. It mounts (easily) on a flat surface. It's not free-standing like you're looking for, but if you have a small table you can put next to the chair it might work for you. Mine wobbles a tiny bit when I type, but it does the job and for $40 I'm happy.
