Can anyone tell me how much Dollars and Sense magazine pays its freelance writers?
I'm looking into writing an article for Dollars and Sense magazine. It looks like a good publication, in line with my writing and thinking style. I would like to publish there, whatever they might pay, but I'm curious to know. I couldn't find any information about payment on their website. It seemed a bit tacky to write them and ask about payment as my first contact with them, so I thought I'd ask here.
More generally, is there a way to find out how much magazines pay their freelancers when that info isn't offered on the magazine's website?
Thanks!

Writer's Market. They print a guide each year, and also have a web site.
You may want to get a copy just to see if there are any other magazines similar to Dollars and Sense that you may not have heard of, to explore them as markets as well.

If you're serious about freelancing, a membership at FreelanceSuccess.com is a useful investment. It's $100/year but it's the most up to date source of information about US freelance venues that I know of.
If you don't have the $100 to invest right now, membership at AbsoluteWrite.com is free, and folks on the board are very generous with information.
