Alternate Cover of Take a Walk on the Wild Side

I've been trying to find a particular version of Lou Reed's "Take a Walk on the Wild Side". I believe it was from a movie and may have been sung by a drunk person doing karaoke.

Instead of the normal smooth groove of Lou, this version featured a drunkish and loud "Heeeeey Babe..........Wild Side!" chorus. I want to say it was in one of the Major League movies but I don't think it really was. But the movie may have included Charlie Sheen.

Can anyone help me out?

Well, there was a karaoke version done in The Salton Sea, but I don't recall it being drunk/loud.

My first thought was also the Salton Sea but the version was very subdued. I'm a huge Reed and Velvet fan so I'm curious now!

drunkish and loud

Scottish punk band The Skids fits that bill. They used to do it live all the time but I don't know if it was ever part of a soundtrack. There's a sound clip at amazon. As for a Charlie Sheen connection, maybe the song was in Rated X? (Major League featured X's version of Wild Thing, no WotWS covers)
