Math exercises for kindergarteners?

My son really likes Bob Books and is making good progress with his reading skills. We learned about them from by reading old AskMefi questions.

Are there any similar books for self-learning math? The Bob Books work well as he can read them independently and there is clear progression. He is motivated to advance to more difficult ones, but at the same time can go back to the easier ones when feeling like it.

He can count to 100 and has done some basic addition, etc., but would like to do more. Math equivalent to Bob Books would be ideal.

There are a bunch of story books that teach math, it's the Mathstart series by Stuart J. Murphy. Two 6 yr olds I know love every one they've seen.

If your library doesn't have any you can get them used on Amazon.

Yes. Try Jump Math. It's a Canadian system with a great track record. My daughter loves them.

Similar to Jump Math is MEP Math.

We demonstrate math during everyday activities. In addition, one thing our little girl loved was doing various learning activity books with me. They're made at various learning levels, and they're good at introducing concepts in a fun way.
