What are some other movies like Vanishing Point and The Warriors with a radio DJ-style narrator that exists in the same time and world as the characters?

Best answer: Hotel Rwanda to a certain extent. Though probably not in the way you are looking for.

Best answer: Reservoir Dogs. Bonus: Steven Wright. Not so much narration as interlude though.

Best answer: It's a pretty bad movie, but Freeway has a call-in radio show that a serial killer calls to do his "Zodiac taunting the police" thing.

A little different but Grand Theft Auto video game has this.

If we're doing video games, there was Professor K in Jet Set Radio.

Best answer: Hollywood Knights. Some guys have to make an in person request to a radio station at midnight (minus their clothes) as a car club initiation. It's the radio station that plays everywhere else in the movie.

Best answer: Grosse Point Blank? After a fashion, perhaps.

It's a pretty bad movie, but Freeway

Best answer: Two zombie films with radio DJ narrators, one appalling, one awesome:

Dead Air
Pontypool

(Pontypool is the awesome one).

Not sure quite how much these count as the radio station is the key location in both, and DJ-as-narrator is a key character in both (rather than a secondary or background character). But they both have narration from those characters in their role as radio DJ.

By the way, did I mention that Pontypool is absolutely awesome?

Response by poster: Thanks everyone for the responses. I totally forgot about Do The Right Thing, American Graffiti, and Pontypool, which I have seen.
