Blackberry music app that will let me rate songs? And other recommendations.

BLACKBERRY USERS: Is there a music app that will let me rate songs? (Also, as a new user, I'd love to learn what apps you think are essential/useful.)

I'm really into music, and am used to using an iPod to rate songs, so then later I can use that info in building playlists. Having recently been issued a blackberry, I was astonished to find that the built-in music player doesn't offer this what-I-would-consider-basic functionality. Is there a third-party app that will let me do this?

BONUS QUESTION: Finding good Blackberry apps seems a little dicy. What apps do you find yourself using all the time? I'd love to get some good recommendations. I'm using a Bold 9700 running System 6.

I have a Blackberry. I use the email app. Also, the Blackberry messenger app. Even finding apps is painful in my experience. Actually downloading them and using them is even more painful. But, I mean this sincerely, the email app works great. Solid as a rock. Email, sms and bbm is why I have it.

Blackberry had a huge outage, and is giving away some apps as a gesture. The crackberry site is useful. It's nice to have a game when waiting in lines.

I don't really bother with the music, I have too much invested in having everything in iTunes on my iPod classic. There is an app for Pandora, which I use occasionally.

Since you were "issued" a BB I assume you have it for work. If you travel, my overall favorite app (any category) is TripIt - it organizes all of your trip information in one place. If you want to use your BB to organize work ideas and stuff then there is a version of Evernote that works for capturing ideas and notes.

I would also suggest installing BlackBerry Protect. I don't like it as much as Lookout Mobile Security, but they are discontinuing for BB in January. BB Protect will back up your files and also let you try to track/wipe your phone if it is lost. The "make my phone scream at me" feature is great for finding it in a couch.
