Is it really possible to have a home-based job (specifically call center related) available to people of the Philippines from companies of other countries?
Something like having a stable internet connection and a headset as the things needed to do the job. I've seen one from Airbnb looking for Manila-based "aircadets" and I am curious to know if there are other companies out there who do the same.

I work online with a Filipino colleague, although she doesn't strictly perform call-centre duties, she's more an administrative assistant who works with us Australians (employer, colleagues and clients) via Skype and email. We both got our jobs through oDesk.
I often see ads on oDesk requesting Philippine-based staff only for all sorts of positions. You might find something that fits your needs there.

Yes. Call center, web marketing, SEO...
Just met a guy in a hostel in Europe who has two Philippine based employees.
He recommended easyoutsource.com (The site seems to be down sometimes)

Yes, there's an English-teaching company called RareJob that uses this model (for tutoring rather than call-center--if you mean customer service--specifically) with Filipino employees. It is extremely cheap.

I worked for a company that used all US-based CSRs who worked from home, and they'd been doing it since the late '90s. I would be very surprised if they weren't now outsourcing those same jobs to other countries.
