It's like a kind of torture

Before or after seeing the Muppet movie, I want to have a party. A muppety party. What foods can I serve? Vegetarian foods are best, but not strictly necessary. Buffet-style is probably easiest.

Any other party ideas would also be fine, though I don't want to do much in the way of decorating.

Swedish Meatballs, of course.

Not vegetarian, but meatballs come to mind.

Also not vegetarian and probably creepy: frog legs and/or pork chops.

You could serve things that the Swedish Chef "makes." Searching YouTube for "swedish chef" turns up some options that are either vegetarian or could be made vegetarian: spaghetti, chocolate mousse, salad and brussels sprouts. He's a Sesame Street Muppet, but you could also do some crumbly Cookie Monster-style cookies.

Miss piggies in a blanket (vegetarian sausage would work fine)

Best answer: Maybe you could theme snacks like each Muppet's favorite foods / foods that look like them:
Cheesy puffs (Fozzie)
Blueberries (Gonzo)
Carrot sticks (Beaker - frill the ends to resemble him!)
...

Craft a little stand-up of each character to go by the respective food bowl/plate.

Best answer: Go googly.

Fruit with googly eyes. (Thanks, elizardbits!)

EVERYTHING WITH GOOGLY EYES!

(Bonus: edible eyes.)

You must serve with a sparkling muscatel, one of the finest wines of Idaho." You can buy some from these fine folks.

You could do costumes, too, though I'm assuming people are kinda costumed out this time of year. What about muppet-themed drinks?

No direct Muppets link, but hot dog octopuses are just too damn cute. Make 'em with vegetarian franks, if you like.

This type of potato, when mashed, makes a very muppety colored mashed potato. Add a couple of googly eyes and you're all set.*

*This sentence is applicable to a surprisingly wide variety of situations
