Clap Hat

this is potentially the strangest/most important question asked on askmetafilter: In the film The Vanishing, Kiefer Sutherland's character at one point is wearing a hat with hands on the front that clap together. First, does anyone know what I'm referring to? and secondly do you know where I can find one? i've checked ebay - they don't have it (unless "clap hat" is the wrong thing to type in). thanks for any help.
"Clapping hat" gets me a hit on Ebay. It's not perfect, but it's a start...

I haven't seen The Vanishing, but I know that something like what you describe was popular among Danish soccer fans in the 80's. Try googling the Danish word "klaphat".

Check Spencer's Gifts. (If they are still around...I haven't been to a mall in 15 years.) They always have that kind of stuff.
