Wood easel designs needed

Are there any simple easel design ideas online or in books that could help me (or really my husband) build one for me?

I want to learn how to paint with soft pastels, and have heard that breathing the dust is pretty toxic so want to do this outside. I think having an easel will make it easier to work with the pastels, but would prefer my husband build one than buy one--hope to save money, but also it's more meaningful and we have scrap wood lying around anyway.

If saving money is the overriding concern I will point out that you can often find old ones at antique malls reasonably priced. My girlfriend bought me one at a Goodwill for around $20.

Best answer: I was going to build this one, it comes with plans. I didn't end up building it though, and got a french easel at the crafts store with a 50% off coupon.
