I can swear I've heard "Chasing Pavements" before

Has anyone else sung a song that sounds like Adele's "Chasing Pavements"? I remember a male singer, early 00's maybe, more of a tenor voice. I could have sworn it was the same song but everything I read says she wrote the song.

There was an article posted that was an "expose" of what it's like to be a major songwriter in the music industry that mentioned songwriters and the hits they wrote. One of these was this song written for this male singer that I can't for the life of me remember.

Chasing Pavements was co-written by EG White. Leave Right Now by Will Young and You Give Me Something by James Morrison are similarish types of songs (with the Will Young one being significantly better).

(Sorry, to be clear, they're similar types of songs also co-written by White)

Maybe Jamie Cullum?

Rufus Wainwright has written and sung several songs that sound very similar to, and may have been an inspiration for, Chasing Pavements.

Yes, I came here to mention Will Young as well, though IIRC he isn't quite a tenor?
