Can I have my Gmail (Google App account) logged in without Google signing me to every service and tracking my every move?

I've moved away from using Google products but work uses Google Apps.

One option is to use your browser's "incognito mode" (or similar) to log in to Gmail but keep the cookies, etc separate from every other browser window. I've got some more details on my blog, including links to the docs for each major browser.

Separate browsers (or similar work-arounds like the Chrome frame for IE) are the easiest ways to do this.

Best answer: In OS X, I stay logged in with a Fluid instance and use Firefox or Chrome for regular browsing.

Administers of Google Apps can disable apps/services. So you could also ask your work to disable everything except for work-critical products (mail, docs, calendar, or whatever), either for everyone in the company, or just for you. For instance, when I look at my own domain's control panel, it shows the 6 "core" google services, and then 64 additional ones.

You can check your gmail through imap instead of over the web in whatever email client your company uses. Good enough?
