Internet radio killed the satellite radio star

Can I set up a dedicated Pandora player for my car without signing up for a new cellular plan?

I'd like to have a dedicated Pandora player (my favorite radio) just for my car. I was thinking about getting an iPod Touch and maybe tethering it to my phone so it can get 3G for the radio and using that. (will be tough since I have Sprint and they hate the idea of tethering, though they still give me unlimited data ;D)

Does anyone else have any other ideas I can use to install such a thing?

I think most 3g phones support pandora, you don't need an iphone.

@Empath: Yes, they do. My HTC Inspire has a Pandora app that I use while on the road. Nothing like 80s rock to make the daily commute to work go by faster.
