It should be so simple, but it's not.

How can I transfer text messages from my cell phone to a computer? I can't email from the messaging window. Note: I don't have a SIM card or a memory card.

I have a Samsung Intensity 2 through Verizon, and AskMe won't let me post the link in HTML: http://www.verizonwireless.com/samsung-intensity-metallic-blue.shtml

On an Android phone, I use MightyText to send/receive text messages through Google Chrome.

Can you connect them using bluetooth?

Response by poster: Bluetooth is a possibility. I forgot my phone was even capable of that.

Best answer: This won't help you right now, if it's a lot of messages you need to save, but for the future: If you want to have a non-smartphone and be able to save your text messages, try setting up a Google Voice account and tell people to text you at that number, and forward them to your cell.

If you have a data connection cable or a bluetooth data connection, you can try BitPim, which supports some Samsung phones, though I don't see it on the list of supported phones.

Does the Samsung Intensity support Kies?

Response by poster: No, I don't think it does support Kies.

Best answer: How many do you need to transfer? If only a few, get a Google Voice number and forward them (as texts) to that number. Or send it to a friend's Google Voice number. You can then pick it up as a mail message or on the Google Voice Web site.
