Tailgating the Mets game

Mets fans - I will be going to a game at Citi Field in a couple weeks, and I want to know the best spot to park my car for tailgating purposes. I'll be with a bunch of a friends and we want to drink some beers, throw a ball around, etc...is there a particular lot that is more lively or open to tailgating?

I don't have any location tips, but I know this: bring cups. You will be cited for drinking out of bottles or cans.
Good luck and have fun!

Willpie is right, you WILL get cited for drinking out of bottles or cans. A close friend got a "slap on the wrist" ticket a few years ago. They drive around in little golf carts up and down the parking lots. Beware.

I hate to be a joy kill, but CitiField isn't really a place for tailgating. It's not college football...

Put your beverages in paper cups...

My friends and I use the Marina parking lot on the other side of whatever raised highway runs alongside Citi field. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, I generally meet the crew out there.
