What was this poem?

Please help me remember a poem about teeth.

If I'm remembering right, it was a shorter piece. There may have been a dentist involved, but the poem was about the narrator's teeth hurting. At the end, we learn it's because she has been smiling so much--the final lines are something like "And that's how much I love my son."

(It isn't as cheesy and overwrought as it sounds! The understatement was what made it so compelling.)

I must have read this 8-12 years ago, found it at the library, and am almost certain that it came from a book about how to write poetry. Specifically, I think it might have been this one, though I want to say that the book had clouds on the cover.

Thanks, MeFi! This has been haunting me for quite a while.
