Advice: how to find transcription services in India?

I've been through the questions here posted on transcription services, but I don't see any that quite square with my situation. Many of the files I've got are of people in and from India, speaking English in (lovely) accents that sometimes baffle people who aren't accustomed to hearing Indian English. Also, speakers occasionally lapse into some very basic Hindi, the kind that most urban Indians would understand perfectly.

So I need to find a transcription service located in India, but it's been harder than you'd think. I suspect a lot of them are concealing their location due to anti-outsourcing feelings they encounter. I do have a quote from one firm that seems like it'll do an okay job (based on their sample transcriptions - they missed words here and there) but they're actually more expensive than some of the US-based transcription services!

Anybody have advice?

Well, one suggestion would be to also search in Pakistan.

Second, perhaps check with something like odesk, where there are lots of smaller firms and/or freelancers bidding on jobs.

I don't think you need to worry about where the transcriber is located, only that they be familiar with various accents and/or Hindi.

The phone number listed on this site, shows up for a lot of different services, all based in India.
