Ideas for an altruistic gift?

You recently completed a diploma in environmental site remediation. What intangible gift should I give you?

I'm thinking donations etc. in the person's name, or other meaningful gifts related to the course. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Best answer: A gift certificate to the sort of store where they can get good boots and other personal protective equipment? Sure, others often provide them, but having ones that really fit make a big difference.

If you'd prefer intangible PIRG lobbies for pollution prevention so that more such sites aren't created. Or you could go for something gentler like subsidizing some tree plantings.

Best answer: What about buying some carbon emission rights and then letting them expire?

I did a similar course and would want a subscription to The Ecologist.

Best answer: I was thinking his very on brown field to remediate. But that is probably not practical. If there are urban community gardens near him, how about paying the fee to join or donate something in his name.

Buy them a case of non-allergenic gloves. Trust me, those always go a long way.
