Finding a cartoon from my dad's childhood

My dad is looking for the name of a cartoon and all he can remember is that a wolf or coyote is a schoolteacher. It may only be an episode of a series. The time frame for this would be US television up to and including the sixties. I don't think it's the Roadrunner series, but I'm not sure.
