How can Granny call my mom if she falls down?

Can anyone recommend a medicalert/panic button that allows you to program in family phone numbers, rather than calling 911 or the company that sold you the service/product?

I've seen this question, which is a few years old and doesn't have many answers. This is for a very elderly person who probably can't/won't use a cell phone. Plus, there's the hassle of carrying one around. We're looking for something she can wear around her neck and will call whatever numbers we program when she pushes a button.

Best answer: This product does some of what you ask for. It will call people on a call list created by you in order and allow the person being called to listen in, but won't let them talk to you at the same time. It's only 1-way.

I have seen cell phones advertised for small children that are supposed to do this. There's a button for 911, a button for "mom", a button for "dad", and a button for "home" or something like that. A quick googling for children's cell phone has this as a top result, but I don't know anything about that company. I'm sure there are a number of options available. I seem to remember seeing one once that was designed to fit on a key chain. I bet you'll be able to find something that works for you guys.

Best answer: I am not affiliated in any way with this company, however the NPO I work for does buy DME and NDME for individuals. We have purchased a couple of these (and we loan them out) and have been very happy. They allow you to program numbers into the device, and then when the pendant is pressed, it calls the numbers in order.
