I'm in Moscow for the week. Where is the "Lower East Side" or "Williamsburg" of Moscow?

I'm staying at the Marriott near Red Square on Voznesenskii Pereulok. I have a couple free nights (here for work) and I'd like to find a non-upscale but still hip place for pubs/drinking. Is there a neighborhood like the Lower East Side or Williamsburg (as opposed to the Meatpacking District) within a reasonable subway ride away?

Some resources:

winzavod
Strelka Institute

These are more specific institutions/art galleries rather than neighborhoods, but I suspect that areas nearby will be pretty ideal for what you want.
