Anyone have the recipe for "The George" cocktail chef Thomas Keller invented for the movie "How Do You Know"? (hint: it is included on the blu-ray extras)

Was just watching said flick and thought the drink Paul Rudd's character whipped up looked pretty good (the ingredients I saw included makers mark, cointreau, worcestershire sauce and a sugar cube, Mmmmmmm) so naturally I googled it, but unfortunately all I could find where blu-ray review sites mentioning that the recipe is included as an extra on the disc, but not the recipe itself.

Anyone have better google-fu then I, or a copy of that movie on blu-ray a few spare minutes?

Thanks!

Best answer: Are you sure it was Worcestershire and not Angostura Bitters? Because bitters make a lot more sense with the other ingredients. It's basically an Old Fashioned with the Cointreau to give it some orange notes. If I were to make a drink with those ingredients I'd use the following recipe:

Put the sugar cube in a glass and add about 1/4 oz Cointreau and 4 dashes bitters to it.

Let it soak in a little bit, then mash the cube with your barspoon.

Add your whiskey and stir a little bit to mix in the sugar.

Top with ice and continue stirring to chill the drink.

Garnish with an orange twist and serve.

Response by poster: Bingo! It was bitters not Worcestershire sauce (I double checked and he made a bloody mary in an earlier scene using the Worcestershire, and I must have conflated them in my mind).

With that little change I was able to adjust my Google search and found my answer (included in case anyone else stumbles upon this):

1 sugar cube
3 dashes of bitters
1.5 oz of Makers Mark

Muddle, and add to the shaker, with ice:
½ ounce lime juice
½ ounce Cointreau
Dash of grenadine
