This post was deleted for the following reason: this is not the right place for this. -- jessamyn

If you find this happening to you a lot, you should compose your questions / postings in a word processor or text editor and copy and paste them into the web form.

are they getting deleted? you could ask a mod or post over on metatalk to ask. This question will almost definitely get deleted.

A) THis should go in metatalk.

B) You can't have posted two questions in the past few minutes since you can only post one a week.

C) Snail mail doesn't give you a copy unless you go out and make a photocopy of your letter.

There's a contact form at the bottom of every page. It works wonders.

I think I see the problem.

At the top of the page, you should see "My Profile." It's next to "New Question." If you click on that, you'll see a rundown of your activity on the site. Next to "Ask Mefi" you'll see your question and answer counts. If you click on the number next to "Questions," you'll see your previous two questions and be able to read the answers.

Most modern browsers will preserve any text entered into a field. Try using the back button (or your browser's history) to revisit the page where you typed out the question.

Furthermore, you seem to have a pretty good handle on how to post a question already; you've done it twice before. If you're curious about how to location previous questions you've asked, you can find them by navigating to your profile page (click 'My Profile' in the header navigation at the top of the page, or click your username wherever it appears) and reviewing the information presented under the Contributions heading.

As has already been mentioned, questions about this website (Metafilter, AskMetafilter, etc.) are to be posted on the subsite called MetaTalk. You also have the option of asking the moderators/site administration via the Contact form, which is linked at the bottom of every single page, on the right-hand side. Coincidentally, that link is located near another fun link that says FAQ. It will behoove you to take some time and review that page closely.

If you have any other questions, again I point you to the Contact form, but also you can click on my username (or right here: carsonb), click on the link right under my name that says "Send a MeFi Mail", and ask me directly via a private message.

Hope that helps.

Clarification: I am not a moderator nor am I site administration. But I like to help.

Also, 'locate' for location, oops.
