Sneaky Trenchcoat Question

Where in NYC can I go to get an amazingly stylish men's trench-coat that I can DEFINITELY return the next day for a full refund? Budget: $200-$250. No time to order anything, must buy in person.

Maybe J Lindeberg? I like the one on the far right.
Is the idea that you would wear it for the day and then return it for a cash refund?

Response by poster: I would wear it onstage for about 2 hours, yes. Don't worry, I'm not the sweaty type.

What about a costume rental shop?
What you're trying to do is unethical and unfair to the store. Retail stores are not rental shops.

Seriously, my heart bleeds for them.
I will go take a look at Lord & Taylor today after work and see if anything looks good. I really love the J Lindeberg coat, but I have really long arms and I'm afraid with something so form-fitting I'd have to buy way over my regular size to make the arms fit.
