VDSL2 DSLAMs

IT/Telecom people: I'm bringing a 1Gbps metro Ethernet connection into the basement of a large apartment building. This building has 2-pair wiring in the walls for multiple phone lines to each apartment (dating from the 1970s, but in very good condition) running from the basement wiring closet to each unit. We are shopping for VDSL2 DSLAMs.

The main question is: What's the difference between a 5-band 17a profile VDSL2 DSLAM and a 6-band 30a profile VDSL2 DSLAM?

As most of the phone wiring is 22ga or 23ga, at the distances we're working with we should get proper 100Mbps to the CPEs.
