Anyone know a word cloud analyzer for the desktop which does similar things to wordle.com ?
Oops, you want a stand-alone application. I've had poor luck finding those and far better luck with web-based options.
First is IBM Word Cloud and it's free minus having to sign up and answer a bunch of intrusive questions just to download it. It's available as a multiplatform Java binary: http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/wordcloud/download
The other is Urim (OSS, Javascript) and you can download it here although note that it is browser-based and likely not what you're looking for: https://code.google.com/p/u

IBM's Word Cloud is the most common option here, though it can be a pain to set up since it requires Java. There are also ways for Microsoft Excel to do this, as outlined in this tutorial and others.

http://tagcrowd.com/ (Runner up to Wordle, IMHO)
http://tagul.com/ (Requires Flash and sign up)
http://www.tagxedo.com/ (Requires Silverlight, has cool shape tools)
