IE/WindowsFilter: Any way to make multiple instances of IE retain multiple window positions?
Some people where I work have to observe multiple live web video streams at the same time, so they open multiple instances of IE and then resize the windows so they all fit up on their single screen. Maybe 4 or 5 at a time. Whenever they have to reboot or do updates, tho, they gotta do it all over again every time.
I know that Windows is supposed to keep window positions/sizes of different folders if you want, or different applications - but multiple instances of IE, it considers all the same app (duh!). I suppose they could open one stream in IE, one in Firefox, one in Opera....
Seems like there could be 3rd party sw for this, but I'm not exactly counting on it.
Thanks mefiters!

Sorry I realized Divvy was for OSX. Try out MaxTo for Windows.

Firefox with the Split Browser add on will make it easier on them - but not perfect. Set Firefox to open last windows on restart? or alternatively save as bookmarks all requirements and then right click folder, choose open all in tabs...

You can't make the built-in IE do it without help. IE tries to persist it's last known user-set position. Sometimes it gets it wrong.
Have you considered making a single .html file that displays all the feeds in iframes that are properly layed-out when the IE window is maximized?
