Please tell me as much as you can about this painting.
I bought this a few years ago and it's been damaged since then. It's a print and I'd like to replace it, but I don't know anything about who painted it, or what it's called. Thanks in advance, hive mind. I love you.

It was used as the cover art for A Time of Rome the Empress Galla Placidia by Aniello Agostino Olivero, so if no one else finds more, you could always call the publisher, AuthorHouse to find out. Their number is (800) 839-8640, according to the book.

Also, someone saw a print for sale in Australia at a swap meet and it showed up in a coffee table book about brothels in Nevada, so apparently it gets around.

You can see a photo of a picture of her here in a blog about the photographer Marc MacAndrews.

Total AskMe awesomeness. Here's two interviews on YouTube with Joseph Wallace King: 1960s, 1980s.

Wow the first painting in the "it is one of his" link used to hang in a house i lived in. We used to tell people it was of my roommate's mom.
