who is this curly brown haired actor?

FrivolousFilter: I am looking for the name of an current actor but can think of no films he is in. He is recognizable but not overly famous. He looks very similar to Goran Visnjic, with a bit of Gerard Butler and Hugh Jackman....curly hair, aquiline nose, strong chin, a bit of cruel/arch handsomeness going on...any guesses?
Best answer: Rufus Sewell's who I first pictured, especially with the curly hair and cruel/arch handsomeness thing you mentioned. But then I picture Rufus Sewell first in answer to most questions. Mmm.

I bet it's Rufus Sewell, but adding Ben Chaplin to the mix.

Long-shot (due to his straight hair, but perhaps he's had it curly in some roles): Jack Huston? Otherwise I'm guessing Rufus Sewell as well, as Clive Owen's too famous for it to be him.

Response by poster: You guys are awesome! It was Rufus Sewell. Backstory: he appeared in one of my dreams dressed as a sort of victorian dandy with a top hat and his name was Mr. Thomas Swampy.

Rufus Sewell, eh? Treat yourself to him in the delicious BBC version of George Eliot's Middlemarch. His scenes with Dorothea...ah, pit-a-pat little heart. Or something.

Sewell is also good in the more recent Pillars of the Earth, which I enjoyed immensely.
