What can I do with a gallon of Biokleeen brand diswasher detergent that just isn't cutting it for us?

The supermarket was closing out 64-oz. jugs of Biokleen automatic dishwasher gel (the kind halfway down this page), but it's not working well for us. Dishes come out mostly clean but are left with a residue on them. We've even tried the Pots & Pans and Soak & Scour options on our dishwasher, but it doesn't seem to help. Our favorite brand, Palmolive Eco, works wonders on the regular dishwasher setting, and we've always used white vinegar as a rinse agent.

So, is there anything I can do with the remaining gallon of Biokleen? Can I use it for other cleaning purposes, or maybe combine it with something else so it cleans dishes better? Thanks!

Best answer: Have you tried cutting it with your favorite brand?

Donate it to a soup kitchen and be done with it.

Best answer: I use the gel dishwasher cleaner to clean my shower & enclosure. Great for clinging to the walls so I can scrub.

Donate it or yeah, use it for cleaning the shower and/or your decks, driveway, even house!

It's a good cleaner for other things. The Moo recently developed an interest in mural painting and I discovered that dishwasher detergent gets marker off of wood paneling and floors. Might work on painted walls too, but I'd test it first to make sure it doesn't strip the paint.

Best answer: Put some in an empty shampoo bottle, and you can squirt it into the toilet or tub as a scrubbing cleanser.

If you do the shampoo bottle thing, please make sure you deface the bottle's label with a skull and crossbones in heavy black permanent marker. I'm sure your home doesn't need the hilarity that would ensue from rubbing a caustic cleanser vigorously into the scalp.
