Children's Book Help!

ChildrensBookFilter: Looking for the name of a picture book or a series of books about animals on a cruise ship that go to an island?

This is a very vague explanation. I remember when I was a kid, I had a hand puppet that was a bear with a boat captain's hat, and he was from a series of picture books about animals going on a cruise. I can picture the island and I think there was a volcano. But I can't for the life of me remember the name of it or any other details. This would've been around the early 80's or older. Help!

Best answer: Is it "The First Adventure of the S.S. Happiness Crew", and subsequent titles? I totally had that series...I remember being terrified of the one where they get lost and Pele almost swallows them up!

Best answer: I should add that I think specifically the one you're referring to, with the volcano, where they make huge rain hats out of leaves, is "The Fourth Adventure of the S.S. Happiness Crew: Visit to a Magic Mountain".
