I'd like to be less hunchy please

I've come to the conclusion that I need a bed desk. Any good recommendations for the sub-$50 budget? Sub-$100?
I'd like to use this not only for when I'm trying to read humongous textbooks whilst in bed, but also for when I'm trying to study on the couch. Sure, sure, I can work on my lap for a bit, but sooner or later I find myself working on my coffee table which means I'm all hunched over. Ideally I'd like something that is large enough to accommodate a text book AND a laptop or a notebook (a paper one), but that's not strictly necessary.
Suggestions for desks I can either purchase online or in person in the Oakland/Berkeley area will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Best answer: I'd look at Levengers. My husband has this one and likes it a lot. It works well on the couch or in bed, and rests on the lap. My parents have this one, which is especially ideal for a chair and resting on both arms, but does work well enough on the couch, and it is a bit larger and more wrap-around.

I have a Belkin cush top and it replaced one of those beanbaggish things (a low rent version of the levenger one q&a pointed to). It's tall, very sturdy, but won't do the book + laptop thing really. I've always liked the look of this thing but don't know nayone who has one in person. Avoid these TV table things, they are no good. Too flimsy, don't stay standing up well enough. Depending on how high tech you want to go, there are some adaptive technology desk type things that seem sort of interesting.

Seconding Ikea's Dave. I love it. I use mine CONSTANTLY, and it does have to be replaced every 2-3 years because, well, it's a $18 thing, but it's worth it.

I have one of these - it's a little pricier than you are asking about, but it's great - light, and folds up really flat. I like to write in bed and it's very comfy

Jumped in to recommend Dave as well... although mine has no room for 'puter or books at the moment because it's covered with magazines and the stuff I pull out of people's pockets before I do laundry. Multi-functional!

i've had an iLap for years underneath my macbook pro and love it immensely. i use it all the time, in bed or on the couch, and even on the rare occasions i work on a table. it's attractive, the wrist rest works, it keeps the laptop at a good tilt and from overheating. i stick it in my backpack when i'm bringing the laptop elsewhere.

A bit unorthodox: Find a music stand at a place that sells used musical equipment. The better ones have quite a wide range of heights and reading angles. The bigger ones can hold a (regular-size) laptop and book at the same time.

I owned a Dave, but was not happy with it. I couldn't' use it with my legs crossed and it had a tendency to fall over. Its great for the price but didn't end up meeting my needs.

It's a little smaller than you're looking for, but it's really cheap. It's also light enough that it's easy to move around with you. I'm typing on one right now!
