Web-based employee portal

Looking for a simple, web-based employee portal for schedules, messages, photo uploads, etc.
I have been asked to add (quickly) an employee portal to a web site I recently built for a piano bar opening next week. The performers have used similar portals at other bars, and management would like a similar solution. I've contacted the other bars' web teams with no success. The portal should be fairly easy to set up or customize (I'm 75% design and 25% coding) and (fingers crossed) contain the following features:
• Employee scheduling with day-off request option
• Employee messages both from admin and website fans
• Send a message to the scheduling team or other employees
• Upload option for employees' photos
I've spent the last 24 hours searching on my own. All the solutions I've found can handle one or two of these. Also fine with solutions like Ning, Grou.ps, etc.
Any suggestions would be *hugely* appreciated!

Not the most flexible, but Backpack might be a solution.
