calorie carryover

Is there a calorie counter app for the iPhone that adjusts your daily calorie allotment to account for what you (over)ate yesterday?

I am specifically looking for an app that works like this:

Say I'm supposed to eat 1200 calories a day. On Monday I eat 1500. On Tuesday morning I want my calorie allotment to reflect the fact that I have 300 extra calories in my system and read as 900 instead of 1200. Does this exist?

Well, Weight Watchers does this, sorta, if you sign up for their e-tools, and then download their app. They count it over the course of a week, and you can use up extra points or save them for another time. It also tracks exercise.

But then you have to use points, not calories. But it would work, sorta.

I just tested with Lost it! (+25 hot dogs to yesterday's food mmm) It does not do exactly what you wanted. However, It did tell me how much I went over for that day. Even better, if I change to the weekly tracker, it tells me how much over/under I am for the week, so you could get a pretty good estimate from that.

I think chndrcks means Lose It! and while it may not do exactly what you ask it comes close, and is a great (and free!) app otherwise.

Woops, you're absolutely right. Thanks for the correction.

Lose It! is a great app. You can also enter in exercise to cancel out some of those calories.

Yep~ Lost It! is a great, free app. It's very flexible and customizable and has graphs and things to keep you motivated.

lose it! is great! it helped me immensely to learn to properly estimate and track both calories eaten and those expended through exercise earlier this year so i could lose a little bit of weight.

Response by poster: Hmm. I downloaded Lose It and unless I'm missing something, I don't think it can compare to what I'm currently using, which is MyFitnessPal. I type in something like "starbucks muffin" and I get lots of hits in MyFitnessPal and zero in Lose It. I'd like an app that has as comprehensive a database as possible and can also do the calorie adjustment thing.
