Wuthering Heights... original movie adaptation?

All-time favorite movie is "Wuthering Heights" with Merle Oberon and Laurence Olivier. I've red the (long, incredibly boring) book, but I would like to read an adaptation made from the original movie. Amazon search turns up nothing... Can someone help me find this? (Bonus if it's in eBook format... ANY eBook format). Caveat: I DO NOT want to read a script of the movie!
Are you sure such a thing exists?
Otherwise it seems unlikely that anyone would go to the trouble of writing a novel adapted from a movie which itself was adapted from Emily Brontë's novel.
I think the closest thing you're likely to find is an abridged version or an audiobook. There seems to be an abridged Young Adult audiobook which might be more your sort of thing. It's also on a four-book set called "The Bronte Collection". A reviewer at The Guardian even thought it was quite good.

Oh, and I didn't mean that the two versions are the same audiobook; they're not.

your best bet for a simplified version might be the "Classics Illustrated" series.
If you want to go that route, here is an online scan.
Bonus content in this edition: Dog Heroes -- "Pete," the Peke -- When a fire broke out at night in the family home, Pete yapped as only a Peke can yap. The family woke up and escaped, but Pete died of smoke inhalation.

There was an edition published in 1939 as a movie tie-in with pictures, but from the description on WorldCat it sounds like it's the standard edition otherwise.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Wuthering Heights was boring.

Response by poster: hmmm... no, I wanted an adaptation of the movie, not so much an abridgment of the book. I guess one doesn't exist, then. Thanks to all!
