How to make Firefox always load my homepage?

Is it possible to make Firefox load my homepage AND the previous session when using Tab Mix Plus?

I'm using Firefox 3.6 and Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.4. If the previous session is empty, TMP will load my homepage. Otherwise, only the previous session will be loaded. If this session happens to contain my homepage, then all is good. If this session doesn't contain my homepage, it isn't loaded.

How can I make Firefox always load my homepage, irrespective of whether TMP is loading a session as well?

Best answer: What do you think about locking &/or protecting the homepage tab?

After much Googling, I looked around the TMP forum, but I couldn't find a different solution that forces Firefox to load your homepage each time.

You could also try checking out Firefox's about:config section. When I looked, I couldn't find an obvious switch to flip.

Response by poster: Freezing the tab seems to be the only option. Unfortunately, I'm in the habit of freezing and unfreezing tabs a lot throughout the day.

Response by poster: I found the Permatabs Firefox extension to be useful. It will keep a tab open, irrespective of sessions existing and such. It does everything I need.
