I really, really love "Hayling" by FC Kahuna. Please suggest some other specific songs I might also like.

Thanks for your help!

Not very much to go on, but I suppose you could take a gander at:

Massive Attack - Teardrop
Portishead - Sour Times
Tricky - Hell is around the corner

Engineers - Clean Coloured Wire comes close musically but not vocally.

The Psychic Nature Of Being by Lichens has a couple of songs that are vocally evocative of the feel in Hayling. No words; just humming or incantations. Link goes to a video review with the first track going in the background.

Here's a higher-quality, complete version of Clean Coloured Wire.

A few that jumped out at me:

Airlock- slipinside
Baby Fox- Ladybird

Also songs by Mandalay, Puracane, Attica Blues, Sneaker Pimps (their older songs), and probably lots of other trip-hop bands.

Try DJ Cam's stuff. It's got the same sort of vibe.

Seconding Boards of Canada as well.

Hmm...that is one of my favorite songs as well but I'm drawing a blank!

Definitely "In the Waiting Line" by Zero7 as mentioned above.

Songs from The Verve Remixed series come to mind, particularly:
Billie Holiday - Speak Low (Bent Remix)
Astrud Gilberto - The Gentle Rain (RJD2 Remix)
Nina Simone - Lilac Wine (The Album Leaf remix)
Billie Holiday - Yesterdays (Junior Boys Remix)
(all of those are from Verve Remixed 3)

The Postal Service
definitely, although I'm more inclined to recommend
"Brand New Colony" or "We Will Become Silhouettes" ... but really I'd recommend listening to the entire album it's quite lovely.

I've always loved "Drive - Cry.On.My.Console Traffic Jammin Remix)" by Blaster

Other songs that come to mind:

Morcheeba - Never an Easy Way
Melaz - Non Non Non

Are you familiar with Royksopp? If not you should check them out - it all has that same amazing feeling as Hayling. In particular, "Triumphant," "What Else Is There" and "Someone like Me"

BTW, thanks for making me go back through my music and listen to some tunes I hadn't thought of in a while!
