Locally-installed Basecamp-type solution?

My fiancée and I are currently in the thick of planning our August wedding. Is there something like Basecamp that I can install on my home server to help us keep track of the thousand-and-one-details?

I have an old G4/500 running as my home webserver/mp3 server/ etc, serving up a couple of domains, including a publicly-accessible site about the wedding. I'd like to install something (I'm assuming PHP/MySQL driven) that will allow the principles in the organisation be able to share information, timelines, calendars, to-dos, contacts, that sort of thing. Basecamp looks great -- but surely there must be something similar I can install on my home machine? Thanks!

This thread has a link to dotproject, which seems similar (and free).

There's also Tasks, by Alex King. Releases range from a free personal edition for installation on you own server, to a more sophisticed pay version for your own server, to a hosted solution.

Here's a list of a whole bunch of free (some open source, some not) project management tools. I've never used any of the tools listed, so can't tell you anything about their quality.

Wow, a wedding planner software package is a great idea.

I could make a small fortune.

I got them to use DotProject to manage our development team. It's free, uses PHP and mySQL. Might be a bit too much for what you need.

Why not just use the free version of Basecamp? My fiancee and I certainly are. :)

I like TaDa Lists for shared to-do lists. Even offers an RSS feed so you can be updated anytime your lists change.

I am using The Knot for all my guest list needs. You could create an account and hand out the log-in info.

Using Excel for everything else, plus Delicious to share links, and a couple of Yahoo groups (via The Knot) where we share files. You could set up a group for your wedding; it is old-skool formatting but works OK for a short-term need.
