Audio Recording with my Mac Mini

I'm need some direction with this: I've been a PC guy all my life but decided to "switch" to the Mac mini(with KVM)to see if I like it better. However, I'm about to convert all of my mom's old LP's to CD's and want to use the Mini for this. I know it doesn't have an audio in but was hoping that someone could suggest a specific USB Audio Interface and audio recording software for the mac and any any other kind of tips or tricks for this project.

Best answer: Griffin's iMic is an inexpensive USB audio adapter that comes with Final Vinyl for free. FV includes features that make recordings of LPs easier and of higher quality.

Response by poster: cool...Thank you!...what about Griffin's Powerwave...that has a builtin amplifier as well...??

I haven't used the Powerwave, I'm sorry. But its reviews imply the sound quality is better than the iMic. Both have line-in, if you're using the signal from your turntable.

I've heard that the audio-out jack functions as audio-in as well - though I haven't tried it as yet.

I'm using iMic as well.

Yup, iMic works well for this, I've been using one for 3 years...
