Name that electro tune

Help me identify an 80's electro song. I need to put this earworm to rest.
After a lot of fruitless searching, I need help identifying a song that is stuck in my head. I haven't heard it in years. I feel a little silly asking with such scant information, but here goes:
The details are vague, but I'm pretty sure its an old school electro or hip hop classic. The vocals are sung by a woman, and the song has anthemic feel with heavy synths. The rhythm of the vocals goes da-da-da da DA DA, and repeats 3x in a descending cadence. The lyrics--which I am very uncertain about-- are like "get it on the left side" or "something something left side". Maybe. Or was it the right side?
Thank you hive mind!

The "da DA DA" is making me think it's this, featured in this Volkswagen commercial.
Though I don't recall it having the "get it on the left side" lyrics, so it could be a different da da da song.

Response by poster: Thanks, blink, that's it! Thank you for setting my mind to rest (y'all).
