Furniture Filter: I'm looking for media unit similar to that seen in this picture—horizontal, solid wood and low. Ideas where I could find it?
Response by poster: Is it this one perchance? It's similar, but seems to be one of Ikea's particle board creations with a faux-wood finish.
If it is this one, do you have information to the contrary? If not, any idea which one it could be? It's the closest I've seen from Ikea.

Modloft has a few options. The <$1000 ones are MDF but the pricier units are hardwood.

Best answer: I think it is several modular pieces like this placed next to each to each other. Different dimensions and color, same idea.

You could try Ikea Akurum horizontal opening kitchen cabinets and not purchase the matching doors. They sell legs to put them on as well.

Room & Board has many low media consoles. They are spendier than Ikea, but most are solid wood.

Response by poster: Thank so much to all. The Crate and Barrel solution seem to be the closest. The original appears to have small metal feet and not be mahogany, and the original poster appears to not have enough money to afford anything like what he's looking for :)
Thanks again for all of your help, I'm always open to more finds if you come across them.

Different option from Ikea that's pretty similar. As shown, it has doors, but you can leave those off. There are different options for legs, too.
