Looking for piano music

I am looking for piano music, can people here make a list of great piano music for listening. It would help if you wrote down the name of the artist and the name of the song and possibly where I can find it.

This post was deleted for the following reason: This is way too broad. If you want to try again next week with some sort of specific guidance re: genre, style, etc, that's fine, but this isn't gonna work. -- cortex

There are a ton of different types of music that can be played on piano. Are you looking for classical concertos, Ben Folds-esque indie music, ragtime, or something else? Or anything?

This is an incredibly broad question; it's sort of like asking for guitar music. Do you have any particular sort of piano music in mind? Like, solo piano? Soft? Loud? Dissonant and obnoxious? Pretty and quiet?

Arrau's interpretation of Chopin's Nocturnes is enjoyable.

Pretty much anything by the virtuosa Martha Argerich will be amazing, but I like her Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

Glenn Gould's performance of Bach's Partitas is great stuff, particularly the second Partita, which just dances.

There are so many great performers for Chopin's Nocturnes, but I always loved the delicate touch of Daniel Barenboim.

Satie is a completely different experience, start with his Gymnopédies which are very accessible. Satie has perhaps the greatest variation in interpretations, so try various performers.

There's an FPP today about Debussy. Great piano compositions - try any of those. Branch out into Ravel for comparison.

For contemporary living composers, Glass has great piano works in Metamorphosis.

That's a wide selection of classical stuff, of course there's tons more.

I like Regina Spektor. She plays pop music with a piano.

You want the stuff Vince Guaraldi did for The Peanuts cartoons. The song Linus and Lucy, pretty much considered to be the theme to the Peanuts, can bring joy to even the coldest of hearts. It's just about the happiest song on Earth.
