Great Chefs (Groan-inducing theme song) ?

Any other shows like the late, great Great Chefs?

I love videos of real workaday chefs in real kitchens, and really miss the old Great Chefs series. Are there any others I need to know about? I'm not really looking for Chef-retainers like Emeril or Mario, more of the undiscovered guys slinging it out. Advice?

Sadly we are now in the world of celebri-chefs and reality tv hacks. The Anthony Bourdain No Reservations episode, 'Into The Fire' shows him going back to work a shift at Les Halles and getting his ass kicked. But I can't think of a series that is similar to Great Chefs.

I enjoy watching Gourmet's 'Diary of a Foodie' on PBS, as on most programs they do feature chefs in their kitchens.

Another PBS series : 'Chef's Story' is interesting (note: it's a 26-part television series about today’s most renowned chefs, but it does delve into each of their lifes, work, and evolution as a chef and features them demonstrating cooking techniques in the kitchen).
