German Music Boxes

Where can I find good music boxes in Germany?

My mom has specifically requested that I bring a music box back from Germany this summer, but I would like to know if anyone knows what the best region of Germany is for such things. I'm currently in Munich, but I haven't seen any in the shops I've gone to. Ideally it should be a simple music box (she's more concerned about the quality of the music), and I'd like it to not be a tourist piece of crap. Any suggestions? Someone suggested the area around Marienplatz, but I know I will get gouged on pricing. I'll also be traveling quite a bit, so if there's somewhere better, let me know.

Mh, maybe check out this place. They seem to speak English well enough and are obviously highly specialized on music boxes. It seems to be near the city of Hannover. Or you could at least call them and see if they can give you some address in southern Germany.
Just found them by using google, so no guarantees here ;)

I don't know what your price range is, but I purchased a music box for my mother in one of the gift shops around Marienplatz, and it wasn't that expensive. It was also good quality; I think I paid less than 40 euros for it. I'd definitely still check in that area in case you don't come across a nice one during your travels.

So, my boyfriend got me a music box from Zurich. It is rather cute and I like it, and there seem to be a number of stores in Switzerland that sell them. HOWEVER! My magical searching led me to this: The Museum of Music Automatons, which I think is the place that you need to go to get your music box. It also looks TOTALLY AWESOME. It looks like you'd need a car, though.

This appears to be the website of the people who make the music box. The rest of the stockists appear to be there listed under Fachgeschäfte.
