What are some community-based online radio stations?
A couple years ago I used to listen to an online-only streaming radio station built by someone who just loved music. The music was absolutely great, but what made it even better were the live DJs throughout the day and the chat room with both listeners and the DJs. I loved this connectivity.
Since then the radio station has shut down and although there are some good online stations kicking around, they are often just random, computed-generated playlists and rarely have a DJ, a chat room, or that home-grown feel.
I'd like a classic rock radio station mostly, but I also like any type of rock, blues, oldies, and even a bit of doo-wop. A good community is pretty much essential (unless you know of an absolute brilliant station that covers all my favorite genres somehow). Anyone know of a streaming station that fits this bill?

WYEP is pretty great, and community based, but more focused on current adult alternative than classics -

WMMT Listen long enough and you'll hear almost anything. Mountain bluegrass is their forte, but right now they're playing a local band doing a Subhumans cover.

Whole Wheat Radio may be what you're after. I guess the music has a folk bias.

WWOZ plays some jazz, but nothing annoying. It's New Orleans community radio. Really good stuff. I wish I were listening to it now.

WEVL in Memphis has two-hour slots that cover every kind of genre invented, or it seems that way anyway. Totally community-supported.

WFMU may be what you're looking for. Then again, it may not. It's pretty wild and loose over there, but they are worth checking out. Especially the DJ's blog section - lots of downloads over there.

KBOO is an all-volunteer, community radio station in Portland that plays music in the mornings and evenings and on the weekends - and a large variety.
You also might like Wieden + Kennedy Radio.
