What are interesting questions to ask new friends? Let's update the Proust Questionnaire.

The Proust Questionnaire runs in Vanity Fair and was invented by its namesake. But I find the questions to be dull and hardly relatable to a common, informal conversation, especially with new friends.

What are some great questions to ask new or old acquaintances to get to know them better? Such as: what is the worst/weirdest job you ever had?

Isn't this basically the same thing as those questionnaires which get passed around by email or Facebook? You might try mining some of those. Some of them aren't even insipid. Though this has inspired me to do the opposite and try to send the Proust Questionnaire viral on Facebook.
