Any differences, using Asmanex?

Yes, YANAD. But if you have asthma and are now using the Asmanex twist, let's talk.

I've been using Flovent for years, and before that, another aerosol steroid, Azmacort. Today I'll start a new, cheaper medication, the Azmanex twist, which despenses a fine powder. Have you made this switch? Any differences? Please advise.

And can you actually use the Asmanex longer than 45 days? If I follow those directions, I'll be discarding a quarter of my perscription!

I was on Symbicort for 6 months. Supposedly it was metered for exactly 120 does...it even had a counter on the top. I found them to always have extra " stuff " left in the inhaler at the end of the month. I talked with my local Pharmacist ( Who, because of my insurance, had no dog in the fight) about it, and he said it was common to have some leftover "stuff ", but that it was not emitting proper doses, and that it should not be used. YMMV.
