What gross website from the early 2000's am I thinking of?
I can't believe I'm using a question on this, but in the early 2000's I remember a website that seemed to be laid out in simple html. It was basically a collection of tasteless pictures of various fetish type things and injuries and fetuses and general grossness. Most importantly it had a section of biographies of batshit insane people separated into historical figures (like Rasputin and Napoleon) and quack scientists / doctors, early philosophers, etc. The url of the site referenced the gross material of the site and has an adjective in it like awful or gross. The last thing I remember reading on the site was about how corn is really indigestible and all food = corn now (I realize that's an exaggeration). The bios were written in a sort of "WOW PEOPLES NUTZ!" tone.
I saw John Waters give a lecture last night and it reminded me of this website... thanks.

It was definitely Rotten.com. (Link to wiki). Followed soon after by Ogrish.com (wiki), and finally this.

Wow, I went to the Wayback Machine before checking Rotten.com now and it looks exactly the same as it did 10 years ago. Impressive.

I had a picture shown in their sister site boners.com once. It wasn't rude, it was just a photo of the funniest shop name in Otley (streetview link).

The Rotten Library is full of fascinating articles. It's weird that it's the same site.
