photoshop 7 won't start ! help !
I'm using xp pro , i have 15 gigs free space , ps7 used to work fine now when it starts up it tells me the scratch memory should be on a different drive to the virtual memory , gets to the loading brushes part and just exits without saying anything ...im confused , theres plenty memory ..its not been the same since i used it to edit a photo from my mobile ..im using activesync too and all the photo folders no longer show as thumbnails or have the slide show.

First, before you get into a lot of complicated stuff, go to:
"C:\Documents and Settings\[your profile name]\Local Settings\Temp"
and delete everything in there and reboot. Of course [your profile name] being the name of the folder in which corresponds to your username.

Also, the Photoshops prefs, as SNAKER indictes, is in:
"C:\Documents and Settings\[your profile name]\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\7.0\Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Settings"
The file you're looking for is called "Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Prefs.psp" You can safely delete this file but, all of your personal photoshop settings (cursors, rulers & units, plugin directories, etc...) will be lost.
When you delete that file, PS will ask you if you want to specify the settings... like when you first installed.
